Come along to the Bishop Pavilion in Grindleford (beside the bridge) to hear about our achievements and plans, including activities taking place in 2019 throughout the Hope Valley to celebrate 125 years of our local rail service.

New timetables will be in operation for services from 20 May 2018. There will be an increase in the number of trains stopping at Grindleford; in many cases the service will hourly during the working day.

Join us at 4pm on 7 April 2018 at the Sir William Hotel, Grindleford for an afternoon tea of finger sandwiches, cream scones, patisserie selection and tea or coffee. After tea, Murder on the Orient Express (2017) will be screened for ticket holders.
Tickets man be bought, by Thursday 5 April, from the Sir William Hotel or the Grindleford Community Shop. The Sir William will accept credit card payments and phone bookings.

Your ticket price includes a contribution to FoGS, to help with our ongoing improvements to the station.
The FoGS AGM will take place from 10am on Saturday 10 March 2018 at the Bishop Pavilion in Grindleford.
Guest speaker: Chris Morgan, Friends of Dore and Totley Station, on the history of the like and future development plans.
Refreshments will be available.
The RMT has announced further strike action on Saturday 3 March, which will affect Northern Services.

Maintenance work on the Hope Valley Line will affect East Midlands, Northern and TransPenine Express Trains on Sunday 18 February. A replacement bus service will operate, instead.

Engineering work is planned on the Hope Valley Line, between Sheffield and New Mills Central, on Sunday 14 January 2018. A replacement bus service will be in operation. See this link for the timetable.

The Grindleford Rainbows will be bringing some welcome Christmas decoration to Grindleford Station from 5:30 to 6:15 pm on Monday 27 November 2017.

On Saturday 7 October, the Friends of Grindleford Station will be gathering at 0930 in the Station Café for a meeting.
After business is concluded, we will head down to Platform 1 to work on the garden. Some equipment will be provided but please bring gloves and hand tools if you have them.
